Make sure research is done on what is being planted. Is it going to be the right size for the space? If being planted for aesthetic value, how long will the flowers bloom? Will it get enough sun or shade where you are planting it? Is it far enough away from things like sidewalks so the roots do not lift them up? How much pruning will be required and is this something that is possible to take on?

 

Water thoroughly immediately after planting to settle the soil and to eliminate air pockets, which can dry out roots.

 

Apply 3-5” of Kristy K Organics Mulch to the soil surface to conserve moisture and to prevent weeds.
